Lymphedema is swelling that occurs due to the accumulation of lymph fluid in the body. This can be caused by a variety of factors such as tumors, surgery, and radiation treatment. In come cases, the swelling develops quickly, and in others, it develops slowly over months. This usually occurs in the arms or legs but can also happen in other parts of the body.
