Burns can range in severity from superficial first-degree burns to extreme third- or fourth- degree injuries. To promote recovery, proper wound care and rapid treatment is needed. In the United States, more than 2 million burn injuries occur annually with 75,000 requiring hospitalization and 14,000 leading to death. Burn types range from chemical to thermal burns, each requiring specialized attention to the wound.

Getting Treatment
